South DuPage CROP Walk

October 19, 2003

We have received all the pledges from this year’s CROP Walk and can report that we exceeded our goal of collecting $10,000. The final total was:

$10,384.25

This is nearly $2,000 more than we collected last year. Thanks to everyone who walked, and contributed to this great achievement, with special thanks to Greg Boltz, who raised over $2,500, and Pam and Jeff Schettek, who raised over $1,350. And thanks to all those who sponsored 66 walkers from our church, including our pastors whose combined total was nearly $1,300 (Debbie’s cookies helped her to beat John this year).

The proceeds go both to Church World Service (CWS) and to local charities, such as our own PADS site. CWS works in more than 80 countries, helping to provide tools of hope that empower people to meet their own needs, to technical training and micro-enterprise loans. Your generosity helps to make this possible.
