Bridge Board Doings
Yes, the DGFUMC Bridge Board is alive and well! For those of you who may be new to DGFUMC, the Bridge Community Board supports a homeless family in transitional housing and provides mentorship for them as well.
We are very excited to announce that we have a new client family as of April. It is a woman and her two daughters and we are very pleased that the woman has recently become employed! Expert mentorship is being provided by Stan and Maria Clements and Susan Hogan.
Many of you have asked how you can donate to our cause. Gas cards and grocery cards would be just wonderful. Though the Men's Quartet and the Garden Walk proceeds go directly into our family's budget, in this economy these cards would certainly be appreciated.
We are a very cohesive and hard working board and are passionate about our mission. We are looking for others who would like to share this work and passion. In other words we would like to take on new board members. We are friendly and take time for some fun, too. I promise you it is extremely rewarding to have such a positive impact on the lives of those who need help.
Please contact the church if you are interested and they can put you in touch with me. I will be more than happy to provide you with information about our board.
