Tour 2014 Day 6 & 7

June 18. We have completed 2 fantastic days in Myrtle Beach and are traveling to Hickory N.C.  Tuesday was spent at the Atlantic Ocean and Water Park.  A few made brief excursions into the water park for the tube and slides but quickly retreated to the waves.  After 5 or so hours, I don't think any of us will need salt added to our diets for at least a month.

We will always remember our first steps into the ocean with the choir and the first mouthful of sodium. The water was 20 degrees warmer than we expected, we have plenty of pictures, and the only downfall was that Chad refused to direct us in singing oceans while in the ocean. Our family lived next to the famous Pines Golf Club and fed us an abundance of fruit.

We went to a nice ice cream parlor with our host family and it was delicious. We also drove by the boardwalk and we saw all the people walking around and the ferris wheel.

On Tuesday we spent the day at Boardwalk at the Beach, a place with museums, shops, games, and a lot more. We all had a lot of fun in the Wonder Works interactive museum, going on rides that made us feel like we were on a rollercoaster, competing to see who could relax their mind the quickest, playing laser tag and much more.

Many of us rode the zip line across the water at Broadway at the Beach and when we were done made the short trip back to the church to prepare for our concert that evening. After the concert sone of us went to the boardwalk with our host families and a few of the guys went swimming at the beach again (this time we luckily didn't have to worry about the possibility of sunburn. Myrtle Beach was an awesome destination and the amazing weather only made it better.

The Pirate Voyage dinner theater was way better than any of us could have guessed. Not only was the food great, but the action scenes, the funny songs, and the acrobatic stunts made a trip to remember for all of us.
