Join us for skating on the ribbon at Maggie Daley Park or exploring the park!
We will meet at the Open Door youth room at 12:15 p.m. Our train departs at 12:45 p.m. Youth should definitely dress warmly as we will be walking about a mile from Union Station to the park and walking from DGFUMC to the train station and back and the skating ribbon is all outdoors! It will be a cold day, so dress warmly. There are warming centers near the skating ribbon.
Those who would like to skate on the ribbon can bring their own skates or rent a pair at the skating park (see fees for rental below). For those who do not want to skate, Pastor Anna will lead a group to explore the park.
We will eat fast food downtown (Potbelly or Chipotle) and return on the 6:40 p.m. train to Downers Grove. Pick up will be at 7:35 p.m. at the Open Door youth room entrance.
Chaperones are needed for this event; if you are interested, please let Deacon Wes know.
