Make a Difference: Join the Virtual CROP Hunger Walk

Sunday, October 18

We will gather with others in our community to fight hunger both here and around the world. Now more than ever people are experiencing food insecurity. Twenty five percent of the proceeds raised go to local food banks and 75% to help our brothers and sisters who live domestically and abroad.

The South DuPage CROP Hunger Walk will be different this year as "We Walk Together - Apart" on Sunday, October 18 in a virtual hunger walk. You are encouraged to walk in groups of five or less around your neighborhood, forest preserve, or church as far or as long as you want! We need walkers and sponsors to join us! You can sign up to walk or donate to another walker from our church by clicking here.

If you sign up online to walk, the Missions, Justice, and Community Work Area will donate $20 per walker up to a total of $400. We have 12 walkers and need 8 more as of the beginning of this week!

Click on the DGFUMC Team Page to sign up and/or donate. Click on "Join Team" to sign up, click on "Donate" to donate to the DGFUMC team, or click on a walker to donate to their fundraising goal. Our church’s goal is to raise $7,000. We encourage credit card donations through the website during this time of the pandemic and social distancing.

If you have any questions you can contact the DGFUMC team captain, Lenore Pitstick by clicking here.

We invite you to get a couple of friends or family members together and make a difference while you get some exercise and be the feet of Christ in the world!
