Catching a Glimpse of Our Chapel Choir

It has been fun, this past week, to receive brief text messages and photos from Jim of the high school Chapel Choir trip to New York. From the first day's surprising glimpse of two of our students joyfully hoisted in the air at a recreation area; to a glimpse of that same evening, of the choir preparing for their first concert; to a glimpse of them gathering on Wednesday to sing at the United Nations - these momentary glimpses helped me to understand the fun - and the significance - of what they were experiencing.

These students and families had to invest a great deal for this tour experience. They have given time and energy and money and talent and hope and love toward the ultimate Gift of sensing and expressing the love of Christ in new ways.

Now it's our turn, as their Church Family, to give them a glimpse of our support for and appreciation of them, and what they have done. Let's fill the sanctuary at 4:00 and 7:00 P.M. this Sunday, April 1, for their home concerts. Let our teenagers, as they step forward to sing, "catch a glimpse" of us, cheering them on with our presence, our applause - and our love.
