Back to the Cross

My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand.  - John 10:27-28

These are the words Jesus spoke when the Jews rejected him at the festival of the Dedication. Jesus tells them that those who believe in him will never perish. "No one can snatch you out of my hand." The question becomes, if God is catching us all the time, what are we holding on to? Let's explore this question together at the 8:15 a.m. service this Sunday.

At the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services we hope you will join us as our Children's Choirs demonstrate their weeks of hard work when they present their Spring Cantata, Back to the Cross: A Kids Musical Adventure Through Time. This delightful, time-travel musical will be sure to get your toes tapping!

Following the 9:30 a.m. service, Greta and I will host a Come and Co Style Communion in the Chapel for any who desire communion.

Also this Sunday, DGFUMC will share in Reconciling Ministries Network's It's Time effort, which asks congregations to come together this Sunday to declare that "It's Time" for The United Methodist Church to end its discrimination against LGBTQ persons, a topic of consideration at this May's General Conference. Stop by the parlor to show your support.
