Prepare Wesley Woods Retreat Center for Camp Season 2021
Help Prepare Wesley Woods Retreat Center for Camp
Friday, May 21 to Sunday, May 23
The Mission, Justice and Community Work Area is dedicated to reaching out to serve others and getting as many people as possible to become involved in connecting our members to each other and those in need. This inspired the idea of an All Church Mission Trip, where people of all ages (12 and above) can work, laugh, and live life for a time together while helping others.
After being shut down for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wesley Woods Retreat Center on the shores of beautiful Lake Geneva, WI, needs some care before the 2021 camp season begins!
We need help from individuals and families from Friday, May 21 to Sunday, May 23 to give the camp buildings and grounds a much-needed sprucing up! There are projects for the skilled and unskilled, including painting, cleaning, landscaping, clearing trails and paths, electrical, repairing and replacing window screens, and much more.
Come for few hours, a day, or the entire weekend. There are jobs for everyone, regardless of skill level or expertise. This is a wonderful opportunity to put your faith into action by enjoying nature while helping make a beautiful camp even nicer.
How will this work?
All tools and supplies will be provided, although depending on your skill level and area of specialty, you may want to bring specific items of your own.
Accommodations will be bunk beds. You will need to bring your own towel, linens, and pillow.
Since the dining hall is not open, everyone will be responsible for their own food. Most buildings have full kitchens if you want to bring and fix your own or there are a number of nearby restaurants.
Join us!
There is no cost, but we need to how many people are coming so we can plan. If you are interested in participating or have any questions, contact Don or Devra Dunham at 630.362.3164 or by email here.
