Foundations: The Elijah Cycle

Beth GalbreathStorytelling with Beth Galbreath, Biblical Storyteller and Teacher. Beth is an ordained Deacon of the United Methodist Church who is passionate about helping folks experience the Good News of Jesus Christ through Biblical storytelling. Currently she serves as director of spiritual formation, Bible teacher, small group leader, and leader of the worship visuals team, Biblical storytelling team and Eucharistic Ministry at First United Methodist Church of Princeton, Illinois. She also preaches, teaches and works at Princeton's sister church, Malden U.M.C.

John Stedronsky was a member of Willow Creek Community Church, helped to set up a satellite in the northern suburbs, and now attends the Christian Church of Clarendon Hills. He will help us understand what mega churches offer.

John CianciosiJohn Cianciosi was a Buddhist Monk for over 20 years, serving as spiritual director of monasteries in Thailand and Australia. He is currently the Resident Buddhist Teacher at the Theosophical Society. He is the author of The Meditative Path (Quest Books, 2001) and a student of the late Venerable Ajahn Chah.

Cindy MichelassiCindy Michelassi returns by popular demand to continue the discussion we began in January about Jewish traditions and beliefs. Cindy is currently serving as the song leader for Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard. She also provides musical leadership for monthly Jewish Renewal services at Temple B’nai Israel in Aurora.

She promised to bring her guitar and lead us in singing.

Cindy has been song leading in Chicago’s Western Suburbs for 16 years. She provides music for Shabbat services, Family services, Tot Shabbat, Holiday services and Bar and Bat Mitzvah services. She has worked as the music specialist for religious schools, programs, camps, and retreats.
