Young At Heart: Oak Trace Retirement Community

The Young at Heart group for senior adults will visit Oak Trace Retirement Community,which will include lunch and a program. The program will be Bingo with prizes!

We will meet in the church parking lot at 11:30 a.m. and head over together.

Young At Heart: Morton Arboretum

The Young at Heart group for senior adults will be taking a tram ride at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle to see the fall colors. After the tour we will have lunch in at the Arboretum with each person paying for their own lunch.

Cost will be $5.00 per person, in addition to lunch.

We will meet in the church parking lot at 11:00 a.m.

Young At Heart: Fermilab Tour

The Young at Heart group for senior adults will be taking a tour of Fermilab in Batavia. After the tour we will have lunch in their cafeteria with each person paying for their own lunch.

Cost will be $5.00 per person, in addition to lunch.

We will meet in the church parking lot at 9:00 a.m.

Young At Heart: Paddlewheel Riverboat Cruise

The Young at Heart group for senior adults will be taking a Paddlewheel Riverboat Cruise on Fox River at Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles.

The cruise is from noon to 1:30 p.m. During the cruise a buffet chicken dinner will be served. We will gather in the church parking lot at 11:00 a.m., leaving for St. Charles no later than 11:15 a.m. There is free parking at Pottawatomie Park.

Cost will be $25.00 per person.

Young At Heart: Salad Bar Luncheon and Ventriloquist

The Young at Heart group for senior adults will be gathering in Chapel Hall for a Salad Bar Luncheon on Wednesday, July 11. Lunch will begin at noon. Each family attending will be asked to bring a salad to serve 12.

The program will be Ventriloquist Bob Kowalski.

Young At Heart: Miniature Golf at McCollum Park

The Young at Heart group for senior adults are going to try their skill at playing miniature golf on Wednesday, June 13. We will meet at McCollum Park, 6801 Main St, Downers Grove at 11:00 a.m. to play a round of golf at a cost of $4.00 per person playing. After showing off our talent at hitting the ball, we will go to Home Run Inn for lunch. Each person attending will pay for their own golf and Lunch.

Young At Heart: Little Red School House Nature Center

The Young at Heart group for senior adults will be traveling to Willow Springs, IL, and touring the Little Red School House Nature Center. The center features sustainable design, live native animals including fish, snakes, turtles and birds, and exhibits about local natural history. We will leave from the church parking lot at 9:30 a.m. for a tour at 10:30 a.m. We will lunch together before returning home.

Young At Heart: Wackerlin Center

The Young at Heart group of senior adults will be traveling to Aurora to visit with Dr. Jonathan Dean who will take us on a tour of the Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action at the Aurora University. Jonathan is an Assistant Professor/Religion Fellow to the Wackerlin Center. We will leave from the church parking lot at 11:30 a.m. and have lunch at Colonial Cafe in Aurora with Jonathan and then take the tour after lunch.

Young At Heart: Circuit Court Clerk

Mr. Chris Kachiroubas, Circuit Court Clerk, DuPage County, Wheaton will bring to us an excellent informative program. He will speak on how the Circuit Court Clerk’s office works, including an overview of the office and how the Court system is adapting to the 21st Century.

A box lunch will be provided at noon in Chapel Hall. Cost per person will be $10.00.

Young At Heart: Arsenic and Old Lace

The Young At Heart group for senior adults will be enjoying the movie "Arsenic and Old Lace" when they meet at noon in Chapel Hall on Wednesday, February 8th. They will start with a pizza, salad, and dessert lunch and then watch the movie. Of course we will have popcorn!
