The Young-at-Heart group for senior adults will get together on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, for a Pizza Lunch followed by a movie and popcorn. The group will gather at noon in Chapel Hall for lunch. The cost will be $5.00 per person.

Pastor Jim McDonald will lead discussions based on a set of DVDs, hosted by Francis Collins, the Director of the National Institutes of Health. This week, we will be considering the Introduction by Francis Collins himself. There are nine more in this series.

Pastor Jim McDonald will lead discussions based on John Ortberg's critically acclaimed book, "If You Want to Walk On Water, You've Got To Get Out Of The Boat". John Ortberg teaches participants the skills essential to “water-walking” in faith with God: discerning God’s call, transcending fear, risking faith, managing failure, and trusting God.

The Reverend Ermalou Roller will present Shadowlands, an Oscar-nominated 1993 biographical film about the love between the British writer C.S. Lewis and his American-born wife, the poet Joy Gresham. Movie critics have hailed the award-winning performances of Anthony Hopkins as Lewis and Debra Winger as Gresham.

Sign up in the church office beginning Monday, January 3. A $2 donation is suggested to cover soft drinks, popcorn, dessert, and coffee.
