Seminar for Parents of Children and Youth

NAMIAll parents of children and youth, from the very young through high school age are invited to participate in this seminar:

PARENTS, CHURCH LEADERS AND SCHOOL TEACHERS AS ALLIES
Providing Mental Health Support for Young Children and Youth
6:00PM Sunday, April 17, 2011 in Fellowship Hall

The program will provide opportunities for interaction with other parents while learning ways to recognize and support children and youth as they experience the day to day challenges and stresses in their lives. Brenda Hilligoss, School Connections Director for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) of DuPage County, is the resource person providing help in recognizing needs and emotionally supporting children and youth. Her insight is enhanced by her experience in reaching approximately one-half of the high schools in DuPage County.

Brenda plans to give a packet of information to each participant, so please contact the church office (630.968.7120) to register your participation.
